Cecilia O Hagan

I have been married for 17 years and have four sons aged 15yrs, 12yrs, 10yrs and 8yrs.

Autism turned our lives upside down almost 10 years ago.  In desperation my husband called PAPA. This is where we found our support and direction. We have been members since.

In February 2003 I was approached by two other parents and together we set up the PAPA Mid-Ulster Branch.
I am the current chairperson and have been for 2 years and was the treasurer of the branch for 2 years before that.

I joined the Council 2004, took part in Media Training 2005, joined the Fundraising Committee and was elected on to the Board in 2006.

What do I want for Autism?  EQUALITY – Equal access to ALL services by ALL.  So that the individual with Autism can reach their full potential, become a valued, contributing member of the community.

I firmly believe that with the determination, passion and commitment of Autism NI (PAPA) province wide, we will achieve a NI AUTISM ACT, to secure a better future for our children.
