Alastair Smyth is from Dungannon, Co. Tyrone. He studied in London, returning to Northern Ireland in 1985 and since then has worked in the voluntary sector as a fundraiser. He has previously worked for Oxfam, Praxis and Age Concern. He has specialised in grant writing since 1998 and has a wealth of experience in the field of fundraising in Northern Ireland.
