TrainingParallel Session Proposal

Welcome to Autism NI

One of the most important features of Autism 2010 will be the interactive sessions.  Delegates will be able to participate in their choice of 8 sessions that will run alongside the full programme.

The content of the parallel sessions will come from you, the delegates.  Remember the theme of the day is ‘Increasing Awareness and Building Effectiveness.’  A call for ideas and suggestions for topics to be addressed in the parallel sessions is now available.   Simply download the form from the home page or from the icon below.  We will involve parents, carers and professionals in the decision making process around the choice of sessions.

The parallel sessions will be attended by smaller numbers (each 30-50 delegates) the contents of these may be workshops, training, discussion groups, symposia, presentation of research findings and so on.  One of the benefits of an international conference is that you will be able to meet other people working or living in similar circumstances to yourself from other parts of the world.  The parallel sessions of the conference will provide an exciting melting pot for networking as well as the exchange of ideas, findings and approaches.

The call for papers opened in July 2009

The closing date for returning completed Expressions of Interest is Wednesday 11th November 2009.

The selection process will take place during early January 2010.
