Welcome to Autism NI
Newry & Mourne Branch

The Newry and Mourne branch has been running for the last twelve years. The branch monthly meeting is held on the 2nd Wednesday of each month in The Duke, Duke Street, Warrenpoint, Co. Down from 8:00pm to 10:00pm. We invite guests from education providers and social services. We have also provided a forum for some of our young adults to talk to us about living with Autism. The branch holds a Saturday Club on the 1st Saturday of each month from 2:00pm to 5:00pm at Orana Family Centre, Warrenpoint Road, Newry. The Saturday Club provides a social occasion with a variety of fun activities for children and young people with ASD and also provides parents with an opportunity to meet in a very relaxed atmosphere with a cup of tea to discuss informally concerns and successes of their children. Also each year the Spectrum art group is run by the branch. This group focuses on producing art projects in various mediums with the assistance of a professional artist which are then exhibited at one of our social meeting such as our annual BBQ. The branch focuses on providing support to the family and also in raising awareness of Autism through local events such as displays in schools and attendance at charity events.

Attached are photographs taken of some the young people who attended the Spectrum Art group along with the artist and some of the finished pieces.
