We actively work with Business in the Community’s Carers programme to host volunteers to help with one of our main projects “Connecting with Autism”. Such volunteers make a huge difference to Autism NI’s workload and the project by kindly donating their time and energy. |

Each year April is Autism Awareness month and in 2007 Autism NI marked the occasion with a series of fundraising “Cuppa-Aid for Autism” coffee mornings across the province. BBC Northern Ireland presenter Donna Traynor (Patron of the charity) helped launch the initiative and the Cuppa-Aid posters, invitations and fundraising packs were supported by Tesco.  |
Diageo held a pub quiz in May 2007 which raised £1,000. This was then matched by the Diageo Foundation to make a grand total of £2,000. Health Estates, Gilbert Ash, Dowds Electrical and Outdoor Estates raised over £6,000 for Autism NI with their five relay teams who took part in the Belfast City Marathon in May 2007. |
