Welcome to Autism NI
Autism NI is currently Connswater Shopping Centre’s Charity of the Year.  See us in Connswater every first Saturday in the month.  Why not pop down to pick up some free advice and information, buy a jigsaw pin and or take part in our prize draw?

We actively work with Business in the Community’s Carers programme to host volunteers to help with one of our main projects “Connecting with Autism”.  Such volunteers make a huge difference to Autism NI’s workload and the project by kindly donating their time and energy.

Each year April is Autism Awareness month and in 2007 Autism NI marked the occasion with a series of fundraising “Cuppa-Aid for Autism” coffee mornings across the province.  BBC Northern Ireland presenter Donna Traynor (Patron of the charity) helped launch the initiative and the Cuppa-Aid posters, invitations and fundraising packs were supported by Tesco.

Diageo held a pub quiz in May 2007 which raised £1,000.  This was then matched by the Diageo Foundation to make a grand total of £2,000.

Health Estates, Gilbert Ash, Dowds Electrical and Outdoor Estates raised over £6,000 for Autism NI with their five relay teams who took part in the Belfast City Marathon in May 2007.
