Cuppa-Aid for Autism 2008

BBC Northern Ireland presenter Donna Traynor is inviting everyone in Northern Ireland to join Autism NI’s “Cuppa-Aid for Autism” campaign and help raise much needed funds for people affected by Autism and their families.

In 2007, Cuppa-Aid raised over £20,000 and Autism NI is once again encouraging as many people as possible to take part to make this year even more successful.  Please help by holding a coffee morning at home, work, at school, anywhere you like!  All you need to do is invite your friends, family or colleagues to join you and ask everyone to make a small donation.  It doesn’t have to be a coffee morning either - you could hold a BBQ, wine and cheese evening, curry night or hot chocolate day at school.  Autism NI has a full list of ideas and information in its free Cuppa-Aid pack, as well as everything you need such as invitations, posters and balloons.

Whether it’s a small coffee morning at home with friends or a full scale party, your efforts will enable Autism NI to continue its work for people with Autism and their families, and help support the thousands of individuals across Northern Ireland who live with this complex and invisible disability.  The money raised from Cuppa-Aid will go towards Autism NI’s lobbying campaign for a dedicated Northern Ireland Autism Act which will improve support and services for those affected by Autism across Northern Ireland.  It doesn’t matter how large or small an event is or how much you raise - every donation counts.  Whatever you're able to do is much appreciated.

To receive your Cuppa-Aid Pack - contact Kerry Boyd on telephone 028 9040 1729 (ext 2) or email kerry@autismni.org.  Download the Cuppa-Aid leaflet here.
