Welcome to Autism NI
Autism Awareness month
April is Autism Awareness month and Autism NI will be marking the occasion with a series of special events and media opportunities across the province.  April is the Autism community’s opportunity to reach out, raise awareness and help people to better understand the challenges of living with Autism.

Cuppa-Aid for Autism 2008
Following on from the success of our inaugural “Cuppa-Aid for Autism” appeal in 2007, we will again be urging everyone in Northern Ireland to join in Cuppa-Aid and help raise much needed funds for people affected by Autism across the province.

Individuals, families and communities can all get involved in Cuppa-Aid.  It’s easy to take part at home, at work or at school by serving coffee in exchange for a donation.  It doesn’t have to be a coffee morning either - you could hold a barbecue, cheese and wine evening, quiz night, cocktail party, dinner or even a DVD night – whatever you want.  The important thing is that people take part and have fun raising funds.

The money raised from the coffee mornings will go towards Autism NI’s lobbying campaign for a dedicated Autism Northern Ireland Act.

Autism NI has a full list of ideas (plus invitations, posters and balloons etc) in its Cuppa-Aid fundraising pack.  To find out more and receive a pack, contact Linda Miranda at Autism NI on 9040 1729 (ext 2) or e-mail linda@autismni.org.
