Autism NI is Northern Ireland's Autism charity.

Formed in 1989 by a group of parents and professionals concerned by the lack of Autism services in Northern Ireland, Autism NI seeks to ensure that people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their carers have access to appropriate services, enabling people with Autism to become valued members of the community.

The main areas of our work are: family support, information and advice, branch support, training, awareness raising, helpline, resource centre, political lobbying, research, policy change and strategic planning.

April is Autism Month

April is Autism Awareness Month and April 2nd 2010 has been declared Autism Awareness Day by the United Nations in perpetuity
