Legislation!! In our Time??

In September 2007, in response to the lobby to address the failings of the 4 year Northern Ireland Review of Learning Disability & Mental Health services (Bamford Report). The minister of Health (Michael McGimpsey) established an independent Review on Autism led by The Lord Magennis of Drumglass. The report was finalized in May 2008 with targeted recommendations for the Department of Health for service development and cohesion. View press release here
