The latest statistics published today from the Department of Health show the estimated prevalence of Autism within the school aged population has increased by 1.3% since 2008.

Kerry Boyd Autism NI CEO comments, “These figures confirm the need for a ring fenced budget to be allocated to the Autism Strategy in Northern Ireland. As prevalence rates continue to increase, it is our government’s duty to ensure adequate post diagnosis support and tailored early intervention packages for these children."
