Volunteer

Volunteer

We have a wide variety of opportunities across our organisation. Whatever your background, interests, or time you have available, you’ll find that volunteering with us is rewarding and challenging. Volunteers play a valuable role within Autism NI and our work would not be possible without the dedication of very many people freely giving up their time to make a difference for others. Volunteering is a great way to make new friends, gain new skills and help us raise awareness for Autism throughout Northern Ireland.

Not only can you get direct work experience, we’ll even provide training and support where needed. There are opportunities to suit all skills and aspirations, from dealing with telephone enquiries and updating database records, to marketing our fundraising events and writing press releases.

Help us fundraise

Join our dedicated band of fundraisers. You can either dip in and out every now and then, or volunteer on a regular basis to become a dedicated Autism NI champion.

From distributing posters and leaflets to joining or forming a fundraising group, here are a few examples of what you can do:

On a regular basis

Collection Box Co-ordinator
Look after the collection boxes in your local area - distribute them in local shops, collect them afterwards, count and bank the donations.

Set up or join a local fundraising group
Got a good network of friends and contacts in your community? Are you a member of a local group or club? You could set up your own group and help raise funds on our behalf.

Support our annual World Autism Awarenes Day campaign
Help organise local collections or just help out for a few hours at a collection or event near you.

Whenever you can

Organise your own fundraising event
Do something on your own or get together with friends and family. From coffee mornings and pub quizzes to balls, concerts and five-a-side football.

Be an event steward
Help out when you can at our organised events across Northern Ireland.

Promote us in your workplace
Help raise awareness for Autism NI at your workplace - handing out leaflets, putting up posters and encouraging colleagues to take part in events and appeals.
