Fundraising at School

SUPERHERO WEEK

3rd-7th February 2025

Join primary schools and youth organisations across Northern Ireland and get your school’s Superheroes to assemble for Autism NI’s Superhero Week. Help raise awareness of autism in school and at home.

To take part each pupil will be given five Superhero Tasks to do at home, then on day five your school will hold a Superhero Dress-Up Day with each pupil coming to school dressed as their favourite Superhero and during assembly/class they will receive their Superhero Status (certificate and badge).

Each child will receive a Superhero pack to take home with a Superhero Tasks Wall Chart and Sponsor Form.

Movin’ March Challenge

11th-15th March 2024

Step up to this challenge and join Secondary schools and youth organisations across Northern Ireland by taking part in Autism NI’s Movin’ March challenge. We’re encouraging students to walk/run 5k every day for a whole school week. With over 15,000 school age children receiving an autism diagnosis in Northern Ireland, this is a great opportunity for pupils to support their peers and raise understanding and acceptance of autism, as well as fundraising for local autism services.

To take part, each pupil will receive a sponsor form. Pupils can also use a ‘smart watch’ or pedometer to count their steps. On completion, each pupil will receive a certificate to recognise their achievement.

We’d love your school to join our campaign and help create a society that works best for autistic children across Northern Ireland.

Sign up and order your school’s free fundraising pack by emailing schools@autismni.org.

Choose Autism NI as your 'Charity of the Year'

Get your school or youth organisation involved in raising vital funds for our autism community across Northern Ireland. We need your support to deliver services and support autistic individuals and their families.

There are currently 1 in 20 school aged children in Northern Ireland being diagnosed with autism. Schools and youth organisations therefore play a massive part in promoting autism awareness and peer support.

You can get involved in lots of fun activities including a sponsored walk, quiz, schools concert or non-uniform day, and also raise money for Autism NI's services.

Your school can make a real difference!

For more information on taking on Autism NI as your 'Charity of the Year', please email schools@autismni.org or call 028 9040 1729 (Option 3)

    Donate

  • Gift Aid is a no hassle, low effort way to help Autism NI. Gift Aid is a scheme that allows charities to reclaim tax on a donation make by a UK taxpayer, which means that your donation can be worth 25% more to us at no extra cost to you. Imagine what a difference that could make and it doesn’t cost you a thing.

This additional income makes a big impact to the donations we receive to help support our services, so please don’t forget to Gift Aid your donation if you are a UK taxpayer.

    How it works:

If you are a UK taxpayer, the Government allows charities to reclaim 25% of your donation and it won’t cost you anything extra. With your permission, Autism NI can re-claim tax on your behalf. All you need to do is read the Gift Aid statement and if you are happy to proceed then download and sign the form attached.

What we need to claim Gift Aid:

    • Your full name and home address

    • Your donation amount

    • Confirm you are a UK taxpayer

    • We cannot claim Gift Aim from company accounts. Therefore your donation must be your own and not the proceeds of a collection

    • Using your completed form, we can claim Gift Aid on all your donations in the last 4 years and all future donations

    • Please inform us if you have stopped paying tax or if you have changed your name/address so that we can update our records

    Download Gift Aid form
